Marc Johns’ drawings have been exhibited in New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Vancouver, Athens, and elsewhere. He has just published a new book of drawings:
I MADE THESE DRAWINGS FOR YOU. His first book,
Serious Drawings, was published by teNeues.
His drawings have appeared in many other books, as well as publications such as National Geographic, Wired, Newsweek, and the New York Times Sunday Magazine.
His work is blogged about by someone, somewhere, every day, and many of his fans have
tattoos of his drawings.
He lives with his wife
Kristen, two sons, and his drawer full of pens in Victoria, BC, Canada. Marc also finds it strange to talk about himself in the third person.

Makes me think of a horse in norse mythology. It has eight legs so it runs really fast.

Hi Pontus, thanks for the link about Sleipnir! That is one badass horse. I love crazy mythological creatures.
Of course, this drawing is about the "more is better" obsession that pervades our consumerist culture. I suppose that in the absence of contemporary mythology, we create ridiculously elaborate products (giant screen TVs, Hummers, smart phones that can run your life, etc.) to have something to worship and lust over - they are our new Gods.
