Thao

I love your drawings and have been silently following. What kind of ink do you use for your drawings? And do you ink before or after you watercolor?

Marc Johns

Hi Thao!
I use Sakura Micron pens. I draw with the pens first, then I apply the watercolour. The Micron pens are waterproof, so as long as I let the ink dry for a minute, I don't have to worry about the lines smudging from the watercolour. Hope that answers your questions!

Thao

Yes, thank you. I've recently started watercoloring and so this helps a lot.

Calgary Airport Limo

Cool limo. Why pens before watercolour?
