A slight departure from my ususal materials: I did this piece on wood using acrylic paint, collage and ink. The end result has a more folk-art-ish feel, which I like.
I was having a hard time getting a nice pen line over top of acrylic paint, but I sanded down the painted layer which helped, and used a fine point Staedtler permanent pen.
The two collaged bits of paper are from a Chinese food menu, and instructions on how to install windshield wiper blades.
